Hand carved tree spirit (think Ents or Grimms' Fairy Tales ). Rustic and elemental, this figure is carved to emphasize the texture of the bark. Dry brushed with a touch of white to bring out the beard.
This one seemed thoughtful, so I named him Wisdom.
Sustainably created - carved from cottonwood bark collected from a dead tree on the shores of Grapevine Lake.
Suitable for hanging as wall art indoors or in a protected outdoor area like a covered porch. Finished with a lacquer to stabilize the wood and protect it. Each piece is signed by the artist (me!). Made in Texas.
