Carved from reclaimed cottonwood bark collected from a fallen tree on the shores of Grapevine Lake, his expression is blunt and unapologetic. A dry-brush of white pigment roughens the texture, leaning into his particular brand of charm.

About the Maker
I am trained in traditional carving techniques at one of Europe's most prestigious woodcarving schools in the Austrian Alps. My work draws from centuries of methods used in European churches and royal residences. I create from that lineage in my studio in Grapevine, Texas.
