I am currently attending an intensive woodcarving residency in Austria. I will ship it on my return in mid-August.
The Dark Moon was carved to embody a contented and peaceful stillness lacking in our modern world. With gently closed eyes, this sleeping moon is an anchor of stillness and rest in your space. Reclaimed from a Mid-Century home, the old-growth cedar wood was carefully carved to display its exquisite beauty.

• 𝗦𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗽𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹: The Sleeping Dark Moon is a unique sculpture directly hand carved (no molds, no automation). The item shown in the images is the one you will receive.
• 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹: Reclaimed, old-growth Cedar salvaged from an old home, anchored to a solid pecan slab base via a minimalist black steel rod.
• 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵: Carefully finished to highlight the rich, dark tones of the aged cedar and the natural beauty of the contrasting pecan slab.
• 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: A standalone sculptural centerpiece designed to bring a touch of traditional woodcraft and quiet folklore to your mantle, desk, or nursery.
• 𝗗𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Approx. 18" (H) including the stand. The moon itself is 11" in diameter (measured to the extended bottom tip).
